CarbonNet Project
Level 17
1 Spring Street
Melbourne, Victoria

Company Profile

The CarbonNet Project is investigating the potential for establishing a commercial-scale carbon capture and storage (CCS) network in Victoria’s Gippsland region. The network would bring together multiple carbon dioxide (CO2) capture projects, transporting CO2 via a shared pipeline and injecting it into deep underground, offshore storage sites in Bass Strait.

Successful implementation of the CarbonNet Project could enable the development of new industries in Victoria, bringing investment and boosting skills, while reducing the state’s carbon emissions.
