The Autoridade Nacional do Petroleo e Minerais (ANPM) or the National Petroleum and Minerals Authority is the regulatory body of Timor-Leste with its roles and functions is to administer and regulate all the Petroleum Activities (both the upstream and downstream activities) and mining activities in East Timor. The ANPM was established in 2008 under the tutelage of the Ministry of Petroleum and Minerals of Timor - Leste. During the period of 2019/2020 the government of Timor-Leste is opening up a new opportunities by releasing a total of 18 new exploration blocks in which 7 of the blocks are onshore and the remaining 11 Blocks are in the offshore area.
