APPEA 2021 will be a COVID Safe event. We have extensive and in-depth plans in place across all our suppliers and partners. We are constantly reviewing and updating our plans in line with best practice requirements and state law.

What happens if I purchase an onsite ticket but I’m unable to attend at the last minute?
You are able to easily swap your ticket type to virtual or in-person at any time. If the change occurs after 9 June, please note there may be some additional charges required to make the change.
What happens if I purchase a virtual ticket but I’m able to attend the event last minute?
You are able to easily swap your ticket type to an in-person at any time. Please note there will be a small additional charge required to make the change.
What happens if I am in a restricted zone and was due to speak in person?
APPEA has created the software for your presentation to be heard and seen by virtual delegates and by delegates onsite in Perth. You will be contacted shortly by the organisers to arrange how you can pre-record your presentation and submit it to our technical team. Apart from pre-determined sessions, a live link into the session for concurrent presenters will not be possible.
If I’m attending in person, will I be required to wear a mask?
This will depend on advice from WA Health at the time of the event, we will advise closer to the date. You are of course welcome to wear a mask if that makes you feel more comfortable. APPEA will have masks available for anyone who would like to wear one. Please review our full COVID Safe Plan.
What if I change my mind about attending the event in person?
That absolutely fine, you will be able to change your ticket to a virtual ticket. Please note there may be some additional charges to make the change.
How are APPEA ensuring attendees safety at this event?
We are following the advice from WA Health very closely and will ensure all recommendations are adhered to. There will be social distancing at the event and masks will be available onsite. Everyone will be registered so we are able to quickly communicate with attendees with any updates during the time of the event. If you feel unwell at the event – immediately notify a member of staff from the venue, security or APPEA. Immediate action will be taken to move you to an isolation room for assessment. For more details on APPEA’s safety procedures for the event – click here.
Can I still travel to APPEA 2021?
Delegates are encouraged to check the WA Government COVID website for up-to-date information on regulations, guidelines and restrictions for the State of WA.
If you are travelling to Perth for the event – please check this website carefully and ensure you complete and submit your G2G Pass prior to leaving, to ensure you are permitted access into the State, and to save time at the airport on arrival.
What happens if Perth goes into lockdown?
The event will go virtual so the important discussions can still be had.
